What a distribution system is

What a Distribution System Looks Like in Month One

4 min read

Most founders imagine month one of "doing content" as a slow ramp. A real distribution system doesn't ramp it ships. Here's what the first 30 days look like.

Week 1 Position

  • Define what you're known for and for whom.
  • Extract your point of view: the opinions, stories, and frameworks only you can claim.
  • Set 3–5 content pillars.

Output: a positioning doc and a pillar map. No videos yet and that's correct.

Week 2 Produce

  • Write 30 scripts based on your pillars and POV.
  • You record all 30 in a single 1–2 hour session. (Yes, really.)
  • Editing begins immediately.

Output: 30 finished short-form videos.

Week 3 Publish

  • Start posting daily across TikTok and Instagram.
  • Begin repurposing top performers to LinkedIn and X.

Output: your feed is alive. The algorithm has data.

Week 4 Read

  • Review retention, reach, and saves.
  • Identify the first format or pillar that's overperforming.
  • Plan month two around doubling down on it.

Output: a system that's already learning.

Why this works

Month one isn't about going viral. It's about building the engine and feeding it enough fuel to start learning. By month two, the system is optimizing. By month three, it's compounding. That's the difference between a system and a hobby.
